Shaheen I. Imami is a 1995 graduate of Georgia State University College of Law and a 1991 graduate of Michigan State University. Shaheen joined Pat in 2002 after spending the previous 7 years in solo and other private practice - he became a shareholder in 2004. His main areas of practice are contested probate litigation, estate administration, associated business and real estate law, and general civil litigation. He also successfully completed the 40-hour General Civil Case Mediator Training conducted by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and is a certified civil mediator. He is a member of the governing council for the Probate & Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan and is the Co-Chair for the Committee on Specialization and Certification. In addition, he is a member of the Business Law Section and ADR Sections of the State Bar of Michigan. Shaheen is a contributing author to "Michigan Probate Litigation" (ICLE 2003) and has been a contributor and speaker for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education on topics involving estate administration and contested probate litigation. In addition is to being a regular contributing author for probate-related Q & A, he also co-wrote the article, "The Probate Judge Ordered Mediation - Now What?" for the Michigan Probate & Estate Planning Journal in Fall 2002.
