Shaheen I. Imami is a 1995 graduate of Georgia State University College of Law and a 1991 graduate of Michigan State University. Shaheen joined Prince Law Firm in 2002 after spending the previous 7 years in solo and other private practice - he became a shareholder in 2004.
Shaheen's main areas of practice are trust, estate, and probate litigation, trust and estate administration, appellate work, estate planning, associated business and real estate law, and general civil litigation. He also successfully completed the 40-hour General Civil Case Mediator Training conducted by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and is a certified civil mediator.
He is a member of the governing council for the Probate & Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan and is a chair, co-chair, or member on several committees. In addition, he is a member of the Business Law and ADR Sections of the State Bar of Michigan, the Real Property, Trust, & Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association, and several local bar associations.
Shaheen is a co-author of chapters in Michigan Probate Litigation - A Guide to Contested Matters (ICLE, 2010), Trust Administration under the Michigan Trust Code (ICLE, 2010), and Michigan Revocable Grantor Trusts, 3d Ed. (ICLE, 2010), as well as the article, "The Probate Judge Ordered Mediation - Now What?" for the Michigan Probate & Estate Planning Journal (Fall 2002). In addition, he is a regular speaker and contributor to seminars sponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education on topics related to the litigation and administration of trusts, estates, and other probate matters. Finally, Shaheen is a regular contributing author for Michigan's Probate & Estate Planning Journal.
